Exercise is very important for every animal. Nowadays Pet Owners are so busy their Pet(s) exercise needs become secondary. With 'Buddy Exercise' we can assist you with ensuring your Pet(s) gets the exercise that they truly need. For dogs, they naturally have different energy levels and some dogs need to walk more or longer than others- but all of them need to take walks. A structured consistent exercise program will burn off excess energy and decrease behavior problems/issues. As they say, a tired dog is a good dog. For cats, they naturally have different needs for exercise. Most people think cats are sedentary but they need exercise too. Cats don’t have a normal sleep- wake cycle like most animals. They sleep and wake frequently throughout the day and night due to their hunting needs; they need to rest between hunts. This might explain why your cat may keep you up at night. By adding playful activities during your cat’s day can diminish the occurrences that might wake you up at night or other behavior problems. For senior animals, especially dogs & cats they tend to become sedate and seem to like lying around which will weaken their muscles, cardiac and respiratory functions. Unfortunately, this decrease in activity level can cause problems, and in fact, can take years off their life. Your Best Buddy Pet Care (YBBPC) exercises all types of animals. For example, a horse that needs to be let out of their stall (to a turn out pen) or Bunnies that need to exercise outside their cage. These types of Exercise are discussed under Customized Buddy Exercise. For a structured consistent daily program, YBBPC offers discounted rates. Please be sure to ask your Pet Care Specialist about multiple walks or play time during the same week (Sunday-Saturday). We Will: Walk/Light Jog with either 1-2 Small/Medium Size Dog(s) or 1 Large Dog at any one time Loose Leash Training is offered for the safety of the Dog(s), the Guardian and Pet Care Specialist. We recommend Loose Leash Training before any unruly dog can be exercised. Ensure Your Best Buddy is properly hydrated during and after the exercise. Ensure Your Best Buddy is kept safe and secure during the exercise. Ensure Your Best Buddy is entertained during the activity.
